"It is a peculiar feeling when, in the midst of enjoyment, one looks at it in order to remember." -Kierkegaard on nostalgia
We are pleased to present Gregg Laananen as the Featured Artist through September. Gregg is a self-taught artist who lives and works in the Skagit Valley. He began painting in 2006 through the encouragement of his friend, the late artist, Ed Kamuda. He continues to exhibit in galleries in Seattle and the Skagit Valley. In Gregg's notes, he includes a list, that we interpret as is what informs his work: Etruscan, Oceanic, African, Haida and Tlingit Art, Betty & Nels Mears Studio Pottery.

His assemblages are also on display at our Capitol Hill location. Enjoy the show!
