Tomomi Shinohara 03 - pourer + cup

White Glaze Bronze Chirori (Kintsugi applied) & Sakazuki Sake cup

The clay and the porcelain clay blend. Wheel throwing. The original glaze blend.

They have been fired twice after a blended bronze was applied on the edge of each piece, that has made the characteristics oozing of bronze. The pure gold was applied as Kintsugi to the spot, where the glaze has been popped in the kiln.

In addition, “Chirori” is one of a kind of Katakuchi usually made of metal that warms sake in a hot pot. I named this piece “Chirori” from its shape. But as this “Chirori” is made of ceramics, please enjoy using it for cold sake without boiling it in hot water or heating it directly in the microwave.
