These socks are designed by illustrator Miyuki Matsuo, for an animal welfare initiative project called "Love Nature Save Animals".
The sock patterns feature charming depictions of animals—specifically rabbits—intertwined with botanical elements such as white clover and plantain leaves.
The design strikes a perfect balance between delicate line art and the inherent cuteness of the animals; silver lamé threads woven into the botanical petals add a subtle, sparkling accent. A core theme of this project is raising awareness about the various issues animals face in their interactions with humans—such as overhunting and animal testing.
The patterned sections are crafted using incredibly soft chenille yarn, creating a fluffy, three-dimensional texture that beautifully replicates the look and feel of animal fur.
The tactile sensation is so realistic, it feels just as if you were gently stroking an animal.
These socks are made with 80% traceable organic cotton.
They feature a standard finish utilizing "Ronfresh®"—a natural, organic-based deodorant treatment.
This process employs a specialized technique to bind antimicrobial agents (derived from natural ingredients) directly to the fibers, thereby inhibiting the proliferation of resident bacteria on the fabric that cause unpleasant odors.
This product is meticulously knitted at a sock factory in Nara Prefecture—a region with a long-standing history as a major hub for sock manufacturing.
