Aimee Bebeau is a Seattle based ceramics artist who found her way back to creating forms with clay during the pandemic after a long hiatus. The work she creates references organic shapes inspired by the natural world. Forms with an off-center profile and an undulating movement are ways of exploring rhythm in an otherwise inanimate object. All pieces are hand built using clay coils then refined and textured using various tools. This way of working offers freedom to play with the balance point of the pieces she creates, accentuating the curves or lines from different angles.
