About the Makers:
Mayuri, Ayako, and Yasuko live in Gobo, Wakayama Prefecture. They have been close friends for more than 30 years. All three women are in their late 70s, and met at a temple gathering. Four years ago, they learned basketweaving from a friend and began making baskets together.
