These socks are a collaboration between drawing artist Tomoaki Murayama and the sock makers. With the theme of "with Living Things", the artist was asked to draw animals that live in the Satoyama areas of Japan (satoyama generally means living in a sustainable coexistence with nature).
This is a domestic production project carefully knitted at a sock factory in Nara Prefecture, which has long been a major producer of socks.
