Have fun putting together this paper daruma. Daruma is a Japanese traditional doll, created to emulate Bodhidharma (Zen Buddhism founder) which made it a talisman of good luck to the Japanese. Daruma dolls are round, hollow, and bearded. Both eyes are usually blank. Daruma are regarded as a symbol of perseverance and good luck, and a good gift of encouragement.
If you receive a Daruma, the idea is to set a goal or wish, then paint in Daruma's left eye. Once the desired goal is met, fill in his right eye.
Comes with double-sided tape that matches the width of the glue margin, so you can start assembling it right away with just a utility knife or scissors.
