Mascot for Japanese confectionary company Fujiya Co. Ltd. In 1950, longtime Japanese sweets company Fujiya Co. Ltd., introduced Peko-Chan, a young girl representing their "Milky" line of candies. Her name is from a Japanese onomatopoeia peko peko, which is the sound a hungry tummy makes. Fujiya no longer makes these dolls.
