In 1950, longtime Japanese sweets company Fujiya Co. Ltd., introduced Peko-Chan, a young girl representing their "Milky" line of candies. Her name is from a Japanese onomatopoeia peko peko, which is the sound a hungry tummy makes. What makes this pail special is the addition of another character, Poko-Kun, Peko-Chan's friend, who is only featured for a limited time. Circa mid-80s.
