Scarlet Tanager by Michael Zitka

Scarlet Tanager (Piranga olivacea), is an American songbird, and part of the cardinal family. The call of a scarlet tanager is a chip-burr or chip-churr.

Modern-day folk artist Michael Zitka transforms materials from the lumberyard into woodpeckers, robins, his coveted crows and other wonderful versions of our feathered friends. Woodworked and painted by hand.
