About the artist:
Mono no aware 物の哀れ, a Japanese idiom meaning "sensitivity/transience of things,” inspires and informs her work. Whenever possible, she creates with materials that have been used and found. “I often feel that each piece is an unearthing and comes from the unconscious.” Jesianne Asagi was born and raised in Honolulu. She now lives in Seattle, WA where she is a graphic designer and artist.
