Artist Statement
Because of the Coronavirus and social isolation I have spent a lot of time in my basement not only working on my usual birds but also updating some of my old standbys such as the robin, flicker woodpecker and the blue bird. I also have made a couple of pieces inspired by pull toys from the 1900s, and my favorite piece, a wooden turtle foot stool that also makes a great plant stand. I hope you enjoy the new additions and thank you for the many years of support you have given me.

We also interviewed Michael in 2013. Please read it here.

Featured in the Virtual Art Space are his newest pieces, but we also have other birds in Art & Craft. Check it out here.
