"Growing up in the Pacific Northwest enabled me to invest time in nature. Clay has always aligned with my passion for the outdoors.
Using wild clay connects me to the locations where I collect the material. Each location provides a completely different clay, making every piece truly unique. I think “tsuchi-aji” (clay-flavor) is a great term, and it strongly describes the wild foraged clay's unique physical properties.
I am eager to continue exploring local materials in my firing and making processes. The objects of our daily rituals interest me the most. I believe the meditative qualities of form have the ability to connect us all." - Anthony Gaudino
