Born in Japan. Sayuri Fukuda studied Glass Art and Craft at Joshibi University of Art
and Design in Tokyo, Japan. She then worked in a glass studio in the countryside of Ibaraki, Japan, with a focus on Glassblowing arts.
In 2012, Sayuri moved to the UK where she worked and assisted artist Adam Aaronson Glass Studio. She moved to Edmonds, WA in 2013 and continued glass work with local Washington companies and artists.
Sayuri felt joy in calling each city her home, and found connections with nature, people and cultures.
She delights in the creation of glass work, with a focus on function, inspired by nature and movement of the material.
