One of the Seven Lucky Gods, Daikoku is the guardian of farmers and rice. Sitting on a bundle of rice while carrying another in one hand and in the other is a wish-granting mallet. Waranbe is child or youth. Comes with a platform. Hand carved and painted. Atsushi Tanaka is an award winning wood sculptor known for his charming illustrations of everyday life in Japan. His studio is on a small island off the coast of Shikoku. Comes in a board box signed by the artist.
