Hand-dyed Katazome design by Penny Cheuk of Someya Studio. Crossbody or over the shoulder pouch with button closure. Katazome is a Japanese method of dyeing fabrics using paste resist. Material is cotton, and embellished with sashiko thread and bead. Kinchaku means drawstring bag in Japanese.

Penny Cheuk-Low designs and hand-stitches fabric, applique, using a variety of vintage fabric, hand-dyed fabric, and repurposed fabric to create a work of art. Her inspiration comes from the seasons and daily life. Her style comes from her experiences in Japan studying fabric dyeing. The simplicity of her applique pictures bring delight to our everyday living.
