This is a soup bowl carved out with a traditional technique called "Hirasuji" (flat stripes) reaally accentuating the wood grain. Wide in mouth and shallow in depth, it is used to eating miso soup on daily basis. It is made of special Japanese Zelkova wood called "Keyaki". The smooth wooden texture and the wide curve will fit your palms smoothly.
