Stone intarsia is the art of cutting and fitting pieces of stone together. Each yin yang is carefully cut and shaped to fit together like a puzzle. It takes a minimum of three days to make. This includes two curing periods: when the pieces are bonded together and the plugs are bonded into the holes. Every yin yang is unique and vary slightly in shape, size, appearance. They are bezel-set which means the metal is formed over the cabachon to secure it into the ring setting, as opposed to the inlay technique using glue/epoxy.
