Made in the Tokoname, Aichi, Japan. Ceramic vases shaped like stones/rocks.
Tokoname ware was created in the latter part of the Heian period (794-1185), making it an incredibly ancient form of porcelain (from the Kogei Japan website). Part of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan.
Two shapes:
Round Vase - 5'' wide x 3'' tall
Narrow Vase - 3'' wide x 4'' tall
