This is a special Tetsubin, bearing the label of the official Kougeihin Japanese mark with red sun identifies that this piece was made by a recognized Japanese artisan. Only certain artisans are allowed to place this mark of excellent craftsmanship on their work.
Handcrafted by the Kozan Studio in limited batches is molded, cast and finished individually using traditional Japanese techniques and methods.
There is no enamel coating on the interior and no strainer as found on pieces that are made for use as a teapot.
