Jennifer Bennett
Jennifer Bennett has been making jewelry and sculptural objects for over a decade. Jennifer’s interest is mainly in material and form. She likes to scavenge materials from the woods (like moss) as well as grocery stores (nori). She re-discovered mica several years ago, remembering that she used to flake it from rocks up the road from her childhood home in Idaho. She continues to incorporate this material into many of her wearable objects. Mica comes from the Latin word micare, which means to glitter. Jennifer has always been drawn to objects that reflect light, are translucent, or are light in weight when worn on the body.
