Lilith Rockett
Lilith Rockett began her career in ceramics in 2002, while living in Los Angeles. Shortly after beginning to work professionally as a potter, she opened a gallery specializing in functional ceramics. Representing artists, designers, and studio potters, ranging from the world-renowm to local emerging talent, she received much attention and support from the press and the LA design community, for both the gallery and her own ceramic work. These opportunities to hone her curatorial skills and to engage profoundly with both the art and design communities, helped define the path Rockett would choose for her own career. In 2007, with a clear passion for her studio practice, she closed the gallery in order to focus solely on her own work. In 2008, Rockett relocated to Portland, OR, and currently works out of a studio behind her house, surrounded by gardens, chickens, her husband and 4 year old daughter.
